Advance Voting
Early voting may begin as early as 20 days prior to any election.
Advance voting options are:
*1) Vote in advance in person(early vote)

1) Vote in Advance in Person at County Clerk/Election Office
- You may vote in advance in person at the County Clerk/Election Office as early as 20 days prior to the election during regular office hours. The deadline for voting in person at the Election Office is 12:00 noon on the Monday prior to Election Day.
2) Vote in Advance by Mail
- You can vote in advance by mail by completing an Application for an Advance ballot, and mailing (1400 main Ste.202), E-mailing (records@bartoncounty.org)
or faxing it to the Barton County Clerk’s Office. Fax: (620) 793-1990. - The application is a request for a ballot to be mailed to you. A signature is required on the application.
- Applications for a ballot to be mailed to you must be received at our office by the Tuesday prior to the election.
- A sick/disabled/illiterate voter may apply for an Advance Voting Ballot until 12:00 noon on Election Day.
- Affidavit of assistance Forms are available from our office to assist the sick/disabled/illiterate voter in the application and voting process.
- Ballots may be mailed beginning 20 days prior to Election Day.
- Return voted ballots to the Election Office(Rm 202 in Barton County Court house) before 7:00 p.m. on Election Day or If returning by mail, the ballot must be postmarked on or before Election Day or Your ballot may also be returned to your polling location by 7:00 p.m. on Election Day.
- A separate application must be completed for each election.
- No ballots will be counted before Election Day.

What is Advance Voting?
- Advance Voting replaces absentee voting. You no longer need a reason to vote early in Kansas!
- Registered voters have "three voting options" in Barton County:
- Vote in advance in person(early vote) at the County Clerk/Election Office beginning as early as 20 days prior to Election Day
- Vote in advance by mail beginning as early as 20 days prior to Election Day
- Vote at the polls on Election Day
Who Can Vote An Advance Voting Ballot?
- Any registered voter in Barton County can vote in advance. You simply complete
and submit an Application for an Advance Voting Ballot to the Election Office.
