Road Closings
Unfortunately the County must close roads or detour traffic while repairs and maintenance is ongoing. Road & Bridge Department will make every effort to post closings to accommodate traffic. Construction and Road Closing Information:
Tentatively, beginning on August 24, 2026, the Road and Bridge crew will begin chip sealing in the southeast quadrant of the county from Dartmouth blacktop east and south to the county line and north up to Odin blacktop. We will have two mile stretches of blacktop closed as there will be flaggers on each end of the current seal location sending vehicles two miles around the work area. There will be equipment, material, and workers in these areas so please use precaution when approaching these areas. We usually complete 10 miles per day and are anticipating 97 miles along with some work in Ellinwood on Park Street as well as in Claflin on Pine Street, A Street, and Williamson from Main Street to C Street.
