Probation
The Twentieth Judicial District Court Services Office serves Barton, Ellsworth, Rice, Russell and Stafford counties. The central office location is 1806 Twelfth St., Great Bend, Kansas, with staff traveling to the outlying counties on a regular basis to provide probation services. Regular duties of Court Services Officers include supervision of adult and juvenile probationers for the District Court, as well as the completion of adult and juvenile pre-sentence investigations.
A few of the other services provided by Court Services include supervision of bond cases, coordination of community work service hours, coordination of the DUI Impact Panel, and referrals to service providers in the area for substance abuse and mental health counseling and treatment.
The District is served by the Chief Court Services Officer, a Court Services Officer II, six Court Services Officer I positions and a Secretary II and part time Secretary I.
